Kenneth credits his tenacity, dedication and can-do attitude to his Army & Air Force experiences. A native New Yorker, Ken’s career spans over forty years of technology, broadcasting and the entertainment business. He is CEO of Soundcheck Media Group LLC., The Soundcheck iRadio Network and Broadcast Academy Inc. Ken has distribution and publishing deals and is a partner in Noizemaka Music.

Over the years Ken has developed a strong network of industry professionals and celebrities covering every aspect of the entertainment business. Ken’s "Create-the box" approach sets him apart in developing, marketing & promoting the products and services of his clients. Ken has been a guest speaker at numerous industry related events including the Billboard R&B Convention, Radio & Records Conference (R&R), The Urban Network, A3C, SXSW, The Grammy Awards, New Music Seminar, CES, and. The Black College Radio Convention.
BROADCASTING HIGHLIGHTS
Mr. Spellman is a certified specialist in the use the Radio Computing Services (RCS) suite of broadcasting software applications including GSelector, Selector / Linker SQL, Zetta, Master Control, NexGen, Radioshow RDS, Media Monitors, and Media Base. Ken was instrumental in the development of internet voice tracking which received a patent for RCS.
As a start-up specialist in radio Ken is often called upon to provide initial consultations, format flips, software installations, hardware recommendations, technical support, programming assistance, and training to broadcast facilities worldwide.Â
As the first African American Program Manager of Sirius Radio Mr. Spellman was instrumental in the establishment and development of the initial R&B channels. While in this position he trained other programmers and recruited celebrity talent (including MC Lyte, DJ Grandmaster Flash, Usher, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bebe Winans, Kurtis Blow, Dana Dane). Ken was also called upon to represent Sirius during automotive and other third party partnership negotiations.
